Newmarket's newest community newspaper is smaller and more local. Following the micro-local model, this paper will publish the stories that affect your neighbourhood.
My name is Jack Blommesteyn and I will be publishing The Town of Newmarket Bulletin twice a month, delivering it to your doorstep free of charge.
I am a student in Grade 11 and I made an application to start this newspaper through "Ontario's Start a Summer Company Program for Students". After submitting a business plan and presenting it to the program's coordinators, I was awarded a small grant to start this enterprise. Over the summer, I will be meeting with a small business mentor who will help me learn about entrepreneurship and running a company.
This newspaper depends on local advertisers for its revenue. If you, or someone you know, are interested in purchasing advertising in The Town of Newmarket Bulletin, please contact me by emailing info@studentsavers.ca. The Bulletin's advertising rates are extremely reasonable.
The revenues collected will primarily go towards the cost of producing The Town of Newmarket Bulletin and anything left over will go towards my savings for post-secondary education.
Electronic versions of The Town of Newmarket Bulletin are available on www.townofnewmarket.ca.
If you wish to write a letter to the editor or perhaps you have an idea for a story, please contact The Town of Newmarket Bulletin by emailing info@townofnewmarket.ca.
Please support our advertisers and let them know that you saw their ad in The Town of Newmarket Bulletin.
